Re: Vohaul Sucks Back
In that case, I'd like to inform you that Chris, who did the animations on this, is the mastermind behind "Incinerations." I'm sure he'll value you calling his efforts on this game sucky. Also, I did most of the music for his game, while mjomble and pcj both contributed code. Of course, I'...

Re: Voice Cast / How to Audition
For the record, as this forum only has a form for sending e-mails to users, my e-mail address is frederikolsen.dfl at gmail.com. I'm gonna let mjomble and pcj post their addresses themselves.
I'm looking forward to hearing your auditions

Re: My thoughts on Vohaul Strikes Back
Thanks for your nice words, Chrono. It's nice to know that, even with the Two Guys returning and all, this game still has a relevance :) For what it's worth, I asked Chris whether he thought VSB or "Incinerations" was the longest game, and he still thinks it's the former. Of course, "...

Re: The Sound Effects of VSB
Yeah, I drank a lot of red wine a couple of weeks ago, and bought the LucasArts adventure pack on Steam in my drunken stupor. It's a great game indeed. Difficult puzzles, but the atmosphere is unbeatable.

Re: The Earliest Material
Uh... right. I guess we have kind of crossed the boundaries for what can be considered "the next few days." Truth be told, part of the reason for the lack of updates here is that I have been put in charge (well, by myself) of implementing the voiced lines into the upcoming talkie version. ...

Re: How to steal the Banana cake?
For some odd reason, the version number of the main exe seems to refer to AGS rather than the game itself. Unfortunately, the latest version - 1.0.30 - was uploaded the day after you downloaded the game. January 15. You can download the zip-file and overwrite the files in your VSB-directory, but the...

Re: Fart monster
Thankyou for the nice words about the music - I thoroughly appreciate them :) I actually find it rather amusing that the Spewter works as intended. I thought most people would figure this one out immediately, but it seems we've created our own SQ2-style monster here. It seems that testing the game a...

Re: The Earliest Material
Ah, heck. I am going to do another update today, just to get most of the written material out of the way before we move on to the ancient eye candy. For some reason, this cutscene did not make it into VSBinfo.txt, but it pretty much follows the last scene in that document. For some reason, I am stil...

Re: Early Material
The first thing I am going to release here is version 1.1 of VSBinfofile.txt. Whenever a script was deemed final, I would paste it into this document so we would eventually have a complete outline of the game. When this version of the document got compiled, we had made it into Vohaul's fortress. I h...

The Earliest Material
Before kainenable took over as teamlead and got us a proper server and a forum, Team VSB as led by me (then referred to as "SludgeSoft") would communicate via e-mails. It was a fairly shoddy form of communication - the team mates would e-mail their stuff to me for consideration, and I woul...

Re: Moon cat sound
Heh, you'd have to ask Amayirot about that - while some have been edited, all the sounds made by the Moon Cat are meows from Freesound.org :D Incidentally, if you didn't know, Amayirot is on-board for our talkie. He will be voicing Never Kenezer and possibly a few other characters. And he's doing a ...
