From what I understood, the ThermoWeave Underwear adjusts the temperature automatically by measuring the outside temp, so it would keep you alive wherever you go. However, if you need him to die from cold, you could do it the old way and have Rog forget to set the temperature. Or just have the underwear malfunctioning somehow.
Just a thought
PS. About reducing the framerate to 15, I'd say go for it. There won't be any noticeable quality loss and the less CPU drain, the better.

It would be rather interesting to have the unit malfunction and either make Roger extremely cold or unbearably hot, but I don't see how you could do that to an unsuspecting player, or even how the player could cause the unit to malfunction.
Also, I don't remember any precedent being set for ThermoWeave underwear being useful in cold places, only on Ortega, which was extremely hot; but then, I'll have to check SQ3 again.

Or some kind of puzzle... Thermoweave Underwear was designed to keep you cool in the heat... it could require "altering" to keep your favorite things toasty warm.
Some sort of wires/resistors/capacitors/whatever puzzle? [shrug]

Ats kinda neat, we coudl have them find a Hotpants (TM) brand remote controler. I just like the idea of remote controled underwear.
It has 3 settings hot cold and charleston. If they select hot it will keep them warm, cold it will keep them cold and they freeze to death when going outside. And the charleston setting makes them dance the charleston.
