I've heard ramblings of a Talkie Version of VSB, should it ever come to fruition how would a starving, famished, depraved actor go about auditioning?
And on a semi-related note, will the soundtrack be downloadable at some point?

Re: Talkie Version
You can pick some characters from the voice scripts to read from so we can get a feel for what your voice is like. Most of the major characters are cast but there's obviously a bit of room. You can send your samples to pcj@sqvsb.com
We're planning on making other downloadables available, including the soundtrack.

Awesome! Here is a list of my favorite songs from the game:pcj wrote:The soundtrack is now available
Frederik Olsen - Lewdy In the System
Frederik Olsen - The Moonbase
Robert Bäckman - The Sewers
Robert Piwowarczyk - Vohaul's Theme
Re: Talkie Version
I'm quite fond of the Furkunz theme myself. Lewdy's theme is also cool.
Actually, now that I think of it, I like most of them.
Fun fact: The Amusement Park theme (from the canceled Amusement Park in the fortress - seen briefly in the third ending) was originally made for the Furkunz. While it didn't quite fit the Furkunz, we liked it so much we kept it for the Amusement Park.

Re: Talkie Version
Yeah, in fact they are all great, either is the game itself.

Re: Talkie Version
Truly appreciated
The soundtrack was a bit of pain to put together, actually. Robert Piwowarczyk's contributions were the only pieces I didn't have to mess around with. But I re-sequenced all of Raggit's material by ear; the audio quality on those wasn't really up to snuff, but his material was all rather good. And all of Robert Bäckman's music was in MIDI-format, so I had to make those sound convincing as well. And then I just filled the gaps wherever neccessary.
Maybe not the best way of working, but if you like it, I guess that means I succeeded

WARNING: Will often post redundant anecdotes about the history of the "Vohaul Strikes Back"-project.

Re: Talkie Version
How's the voice pack work progressing? Is the voice_scripts page up to date, do the roles that don't say "has been cast" next to them still need voicing? I'd love to do some.
And kudos on an excellent, fun, triumphant SQ game.
