First of all guys, this is amazing. It's been a long, long time since I was around the SQ scene, and I'm glad that so much good work has been done. Just logged in to this forum for the first time in what must be 10 years. Found a message in my inbox from Pstonie from 2003 asking me to help write the script... think I might be a bit late on that one.
Anywho, chatting to Andres on Facebook he suggested I should ask here. I think I've done everything that needs to be done with the cave and with the holiday resort. I also think I've picked everything up. But I'm struggling to move that Spewter. I tried feeding him something I found in the hut, but that hasn't worked. And I've tried every object combo to try and stick stuff to other stuff, which has also failed me.
So, the question is - how do I bypass him. Andres suggested I should follow the advice of the clerk at the Pie-ery, but having re-watched the intro I didn't see any hints (or it was so subtle it went way over my head).
You'll be happy to know that last night I wanted to "just play a couple of minutes", but was up until 1am chortling at the game. Definitely worthy of being in the SQ canon.
Regards!
Gareth

Crap, did I say Pie-ery? Yes, I did. But what I meant was the clerk at Al's Resort.
Why did we put so many clerks in this game?
But seeing as you've found the caves, try exploring that area further (but not the Furkunz area).

I shall take a look around. Thanks.
The clerk wasn't overly helpful. But then perhaps that's the point... Cryptic!

The clue I gave was that you can trust the clerk in strictly Spewter-related matters (and that much I actually got right ).drslashvohaul wrote:The clerk wasn't overly helpful. But then perhaps that's the point... Cryptic!
He doesn't say much on the subject, but what he does say is correct.

Thanks Olzen! Very much enjoying it and your musical talents.
You are right. The clerk is right. I was over-thinking things. And after a bit of looking around, I solved my impassable fart monster based issues.
Cheers!

Re: Fart monster
Thankyou for the nice words about the music - I thoroughly appreciate them
I actually find it rather amusing that the Spewter works as intended. I thought most people would figure this one out immediately, but it seems we've created our own SQ2-style monster here. It seems that testing the game and reading the scripts over and over have made me blind to a lot of potential player reactions.
