Finished recording the first cutscene. This one took a bit longer because it was more complicated. Im using sharpies in this one :).

Preview of the "sam site". I "futurized" the style a bit, and made it mobile.

I was thinking about uploading a preview of the whole cutscene, but:
  1. First of all, I haven't got all of the initial problems out of it yet.
  2. Animation with a seeming metal block seems kind of corny, as I have yet to get a model of the Aluminum Mallard.
Let me know what you think.

Thats nifty... all it needs now is the vohaul logo on the side.

I didn't think the SAM site was gonna be mobile... That changes a whole lot, since Vohaul is ordering an apeman in the base to destroy the ship and the rockets are coming from a tower in the fortress. But never mind. Then we should have some cool shots of the vehicle moving across the snowclad landscape too.

Exactly which logo were you thinking of? The closest thing I could find to a logo can be found at: http://forum.vohaulstrikesback.com/view ... ?t=165#622

Not necessarily; it could simply be mobile for ease of operation, and for the best place from which a target could be acquired, while being primarily stationary.

Your new idea sounds pretty cool, though. It seems almost like a commercial (or from ST: Nemesis, the scene with the Argo on Kolarus).

I'll come up with something similar to the motions of that rover.

OK...

I've started work on the scene with the snow, the mountains, the snow, the vehicle, the snow, and the sky. Did I mention there was going to be snow in there?

Seriously, it should look pretty cool...perhaps something like an extreme Jeep commercial, if everything turns out right.

Great idea, olzen.

Ahhh...

So far so good.

As I said before, this should look something like an "extreme" Jeep commercial:

Probably something like:

or:

:D

Do you guys want to wait for the Aluminum Mallard, or should I post the cutscene in sections so you can preview the AML part?

So, how 'bout that preview?

Yeah, it's taking a little bit longer than I planned. It's also longer than the other one.
