Is that in the general Furkunz area? I didn't see those lines before. In either case, they'd have to go. And I fixed two out of three comments by Justas. The exchange between Odster and Gofty still seems to sound right in my head, but it's better to imagine them as trying to kill time after having b...

And the other one: Roger and Beatrice stand with the apes as they surround the cannon. Rodney plays "Amazing Grace" as Vohaul's coffin is loaded into the cannon. The colonel stands up to give a speech. COLONEL: "What kind of thing can I say about Lord Vohaul other than to remember him as he was, and...

After we see Roger exiting the mind with Young Vohaul, we cut back to the lair. Beatrice and the chief scientist wait eagerly. Finkle stands off to the side. BEA: "Does it usually take this long?" CHIEF: "Don't know. Never did this before." FINKLE: "I think he's waking up!" Roger wakes up on Vohaul'...

I still think if we'd pull off a full-fledged spoof of an ending, Revenge of the Sith is the way to go. Vohaul's reconstruction, the rising table, the cackling evil emperor, and the classic "NOOOOOOOOO" would constitute everything we need out of a "Vohaul turns bad again" ending. For Vohaul's funera...

I was thinking about that too. It'd be cool if shortly after you left, Vohaul woke up long enough to press the "blow up the moon" button, destroying the entire universe. But it wouldn't be possible, because they didn't set the charges yet. Animating it wouldn't be so bad, though. With my Particle Il...

But at this point, he already has a bad case of schizophrenia going on in his head. The whole point of that last chapter is to stop it.

I'd sooner imagine Never Kenezer going through a Gollum-like state.

Well, M:I-2 had close to 20 other endings that I never bothered to make. I think our two alternate endings should suffice though. I just think if we throw enough ideas out there, something will eventually come together, so we shouldn't get hung up on trying to make one thing work if there's other po...

Still having trouble with coming up with a "glowing red eye" ending. How much do you really want one of these, Olzen? We should at least come up with several possible outcomes before deciding on one. There may be a million better ways to end it than with just a scary eye. Vohaul hasn't been threaten...

It's not that he has to become a cliched "over-the-top" nice guy. It's better to imagine him as a former villain whose mind has been freed of all anxiety. He's been given a new lease on life with a conscience to guide him. I like pcj's thought that both endings can lead to alternate outcomes for the...

Also, Vohaul has been known to time travel. I kinda like the Raiders idea, except that if there's already a big room full of back-up disks, why didn't the apes bring him back before? What I like about pcj's ending is that it's more open to reflect the opening of our game with a cruel twist of irony....

My point was that this is the first time that an SQ game splits into two "acceptable" endings and that one isn't like a "game over" or anything. Not even considering the Canonicity of Fangames argument, a break in the canon is made which would be pretty interesting if done right. Otherwise, we migh...

Oooh. I like that one. Except that the player doesn't know Slash is Sludge's brother unless they actually go through the optional chapter, and the Star Generator generally vaporises things instead of bringing them back from the dead but we could work around that. How about instead of worrying about ...

Yeah, I caught that too. :P What I meant by the "he comes back" statement is that he always comes back in the sequel. Someone will rewrite enough of the previous ending to change the previous outcome, but technically, he was always dead at the end of each game as far as the Two Guys were concerned u...

I meant that he could come back at the end of the first ending because he's Vohaul and Vohaul always manages to come back somehow, even if he's dead. It's the idea of him turning bad again at the end of the happy ending that doesn't make sense to me. Roger just went through a whole bunch of crap to ...
